My wife (dining partner) and I are not Greek, far from it. We are, though, a bit curious from time to time and like to step out of our food comfort zone. Yianni's fit that bill recently and we had a great time. Fantastic food, authentic and great portions. I was down between chicken and beef kabobs - two to a platter - and the waiter offered me one of each. A hidden gem on Mantoloking Road. Try it.
We order take out tonight and the food is AMAZING!!!!!!!! The lamb was super tender with orzo and we also got shrimp with orzo. WOW!!!
We really enjoy this restaurant. We have eaten here many times. All the food is very good. Having been from Massachusetts where there were so many excellent Greek restaurants we had a difficult time finding one here in NJ that fit the bill. The menu isn't just gyros which is refreshing, we've tried many dishes and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is nice for a strip mall and the people who work there are very attentive.

I was visiting friends in NJ & had a yearning for Moussaka. I live rurally in NC so,when traveling I search out independent restaurants to enjoy. Yum,yum,yum!!!!! Spanakopita,dolemades,grilled eggplant and moussaka. So delicious. If I lived in the area,i would absolutely be a regular customer. Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Easily one of, if not THE best Greek place in the area. Yianni's is a moderately sized restaurant that sits in a strip mall off Mantoloking Road, in a space that was previously occupied by Skillets Fresh Grill. For the space they have, the decor is pretty nice - a cobblestone floor, white brick walls, and photos of Greece adorn the walls. Staff here are friendly, and considering how bad inflation is right now - prices are very affordable, a plus! The food is just fantastic; I've had their classic gyro a few times now, and it blows away any competition in the area. Just today I had the pork kebab sandwich with a side of greek fries, and no surprise - it's also fantastic. Another highlight was the avgolemono soup which was perfectly balanced between the sour lemon and savory chicken / egg notes. Even the pita bread here is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Well worth it if you're in the area and want something different than the usual. Great prices along with fantastic food means I'll be back here again and again to try their other offerings. Don't drive by, well worth a stop in!
Best vegan meal i've had since being in New Jersey. The falafel was fresh and hot and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. The pita bread was so yummy too! The wait was like 5 minutes for my food and there was no wait to order. I loved it. If I lived here I'd be a regular for sure. 10/10 Also a family owned or local place. Loved it.
